After a bit longer
stay at the hospital then we expected everyone has made it home. The boys
stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days while Mindy was at the
hospital having Paige. We had a bit of a scare with the operation when the
spinal was not working, but got through it and the delivery went without a
hitch. We spent the next couple days letting Mindy recover and taking care of
Paige in the labor and delivery rooms at UMC. There was a little concern when
Paige lost almost 10% her weight, but then turned around and started gaining
yesterday. We also have a watch Mindy as she now has really high blood pressure
which is something new. They think as she recovers from the operation and her
body levels out from the pregnancy that this will go away, but in the meantime
we need to keep an eye on it.
Tonight, we made it
home from the hospital and grandma and grandpa dropped off the boys. It is good
to have everyone home, and healthy. Paige is adjusting to being home very
well. Everyone is sleeping right now, and I am going to join them before it is
time to get back up to help feed the new one. So far it is a breeze -
especially since there is only one newborn... phew.
